About the event

The LGBTQI+ Newcomers Entrepreneurship Mentorship Conference, scheduled for March 28-29, 2025, at the UPlift Black Centre for Social Justice & Inclusion (12 Dunlop St E, Barrie, ON L4M 1A3), will serve as a platform to:

  • Reflect on the progress, impact, and challenges of the mentorship initiative.

  • Create a space for meaningful networking between mentors, mentees, business experts, and stakeholders.

  • Provide insights into funding opportunities, legal and immigration considerations, and business strategies.

  • Foster dialogue on running a small business in Simcoe County as an LGBTQI+ newcomer.
