We are moving fast at 3-60 Bell Farm Rd, and there is so much to celebrate as we push toward our full operational capacity!

 


Help Us Build: 6,500 Sq. Ft. of Sanctuary

We have officially moved into our new 6,500 sq. ft. facility—the UPlift Black Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion. While our doors are open for initial programming, we need your help to finish the renovations required to run at 100% capacity. This space will house our Community Prep Kitchen, the "You Belong Here" Newcomer Centre, and the UP BeatBox Creative Studio.

 

Black Excellence Continues: The 2nd Annual Afrofusion Fashion Show



Black History Month may be over, but Black excellence is 365 days a year. Rehearsals have officially begun for the 2nd Annual Afrofusion Fashion Show and Fundraiser!

Join us for an immersive couture and culture experience featuring seven visionary Black designers, including award-winners Kyle Gervacy, Qweenfecy Clothing, BADBRID, and KHAM! 

  • When: Saturday, April 11, 2026 | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

  • Where: Five Points Theatre, 1 Dunlop St. W., Barrie

  • The Cause: Proceeds support the advocacy and community initiatives of the Simcoe County Black Coalition’s 12 member organizations.

  • VIP Experience: Includes a private pre-reception and an exclusive after-party at LVXBEAUTY Medical Aesthetics and Spa with sounds by DJ DESIIRE.

From the Black Fathers Alliance and Parents Against Racism to Making Change and Experience Nigerians in Barrie, we are weaving a tapestry of resilience across Simcoe County.

Simcoe County Black Coalition is a vibrant coalition of local Black organizations that united by a shared vision of empowering and uplifting the community. Fueled by a commitment to address social inequities and celebrate their rich cultural heritage, these groups have come together to create supportive networks that provide resources, mentorship, and advocacy. Through collaborative efforts, educational workshops, and community outreach programs, they are fostering a sense of belonging and pride, while actively working to dismantle barriers and promote social justice. Kathy Millette. I have been praying for UPLIFTBLACK. Heavenly Holy Father, I pray that their location at unit 3 - 60 Bellfarm Rd., that their centre will be getting much better support in all ways, always. Volunteers, workers, funding, resources, furniture, supplies, etc. More loving positive continual attention. That they gain the big time dignity and kindness. Always in the fruit of the spirit, as they wear the full armour of Salvation. Protect them, give safety and security always. In all fascets of life. May they all progress expediently personally, in their spiritual ministry and in their respectful and compassionate, understanding businesses. Calm their souls, give them exactly what they need to have right here and right now. Harmony, peace…
